BNL-BNP Paribas Group is the sponsor the first edition of the Moviemov Italian Film Festival, which began today in Bangkok, Thailand and will run until June 12.

The project, developed as a part of Italian culture month in the city, aims to promote Italian cinema in Asian markets while at the same time giving visibility to Thai culture in Italy.

This festival is one of many events sponsored by the bank that has helped solidify its commitment to cinema, alongside the Rome International Film Festival, the Venice Film Festival through the “Days of the Authors” (Le Gironate degli Autori) and International Critics Week, the Nastri d'Argento Film Awards, the David di Donatello prize, and others, including various promotional activities for French cinema in Italy in collaboration with the French Embassy in Rome.

The Moviemov Italian Film Festival will also feature at the renowned “Ciak d'Oro” awards ceremony on 16 June in Rome with a special prize for Asian film. This ceremony, which brings together the top directors and actors of Italian film, is organized by the monthly magazine Ciak.
